Research Engineer (m/f/d) Battery Characterization

As Austria's largest research and technology organisation for applied research, we are dedicated to make substantial contributions to solving the major challenges of our time, climate change and digitisation. To achieve our goals, we rely on our specific research, development and technology competencies, which are the basis of our commitment to excellence in all areas. With our open culture of innovation and our motivated, international teams, we are working to position AIT as Austria's leading research institution at the highest international level and to make a positive contribution to the economy and society.

Our Competence Unit "Battery Technologies" is looking for new Ingenious Partners for our location in Vienna. The heart of our research area is the battery laboratory, where battery materials are developed and ultimately processed into industrial battery cells in the pilot plant. The in-situ, gas, and post-mortem characterization of pilot-scale and industrial cells for battery electric vehicles is in high demand as Europe ramps up battery production to the Gwh scale. Materials and component suppliers and cell producers will increasingly rely on accurate testing and performance data.

As part of our international multidisciplinary team of scientists, students, engineers, and technicians you will focus on the characterization of the next generation of batteries for sustainable electromobility.
